#146: Moltres

And now, for some personal thoughts on Moltres.

Moltres: The Flaming Bird from Hell Pokémon. I don't know what its problem is, but it's a freaking jerk when you try to catch it. Seriously. This thing took at least 5 attempts to catch. Its brother Zapdos and way cooler than it will ever be (ha! Unintentional pun! ) sister Articuno were easier to catch. I don't know why it's so hard to catch despite having the same catch rate as its siblings. (This is based off FireRed/LeafGreen. I don't know if it was easier or harder to catch in Red/Blue/Yellow since I never played the games, HeartGold/SoulSilver since I never bothered to catch it in my first file and haven't gotten far enough to catch it in my current file, and/or X/Y because I chose Fennekin and it only appears if you chose Froakie.) When I finally did catch it, it got a very fitting nickname...that it no longer has because the Poké Transporter/Box in X/Y decided the name was inappropriate. Design and type wise, I like it. While Articuno is my favorite out of the legendary birds, it is awesome for having wings of fire and being a Fire-type (one of my 3 favorite types).

Now, it just sits at the peak of Mt. Ember, waiting for the one who dares to challenge it...
